Management Team

		Hemal Jhaveri – Chairman & CEO Hemal Jhaveri is the President and CEO of SofTec Solutions. In addition to his leadership role at SofTec, Mr. Jhaveri is an influential member of the information technology industry at large, a globally-respected professional and a guest speaker at various industry conferences. Mr. Jhaveri brings his 25 years of experience in giving direction to the fulfillment of SofTec’s goals, mission, vision, philosophy and objectives and is involved in the planning, developing and implementation of high level strategies and making major business decisions. Although the company’s roots were in the Commercial sector, in 2002, with the downturn in the Telecom industry, Jhaveri redirected SofTec’s focus to the Public Sector and formed two divisions within the company – one focused on IT Services, Operations and Management and the other on Enterprise Solutions. Mr. Jhaveri’s excellent management and leadership style guided the company successfully and cohesively through this transition. The result was a company that had previously been largely an Oracle solutions provider transformed into a multi-disciplinary services company providing support to Commercial, State and Local, and Federal clients nationwide. Under his direction, SofTec has grown exponentially as a minority-owned business and has been recognized as one of the top companies in various publications such as Inc. Magazine, the Denver Business Journal, ColoBiz Magazine and Washington Technology. He has cultivated relationships with multiple Federal agencies, including the Dept. of Energy, Dept. of Agriculture, Environmental Protection Agency, and the US Army; subsequently, SofTec has become a trusted partner of each. Prior to his founding of SofTec, Mr. Jhaveri was CIO at EchoStar where he played a pivotal role in building the foundation and infrastructure for their IT department. He also organized business applications to support the company’s satellite television business prior to their first satellite launch. Prior to EchoStar, Mr. Jhaveri held several IT management positions with both Oracle Corporation and Coors Ceramics. Mr. Jhaveri received his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science as well as his Masters in Computer Information Systems from The University of Denver. Mr. Jhaveri resides in Denver, Colorado and is actively involved with various community minority organizations. Mr. Jhaveri is a member of The Rocky Mountain Minority Suppliers Development Council (RMMSDC), Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO), and the Entrepreneurs’ Organization. He is dedicated to continuously setting new standards of giving by contributing significant time and financial resources to a number of charities and civic organizations. Consistent with Mr. Jhaveri’s commitment to giving back, he personally contributes to a variety of philanthropic organizations and has donated significant amounts to needy enterprises all over the world.
		Frank Sain – Chief Operating Officer SofTec appointed Frank Sain as Chief Operating Officer in September of 2011. A results-oriented executive with over 20 years’ experience delivering complex technical business solutions aligned to clients’ missions, strategic initiatives, budgets and mandates, Frank is responsible for all corporate activities of the company. Mr. Sain brings both business development and project management experience for enterprise-level professional services for federal government clients. Most recently he was the Director of IT Solutions for Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC). While at SAIC, he held a variety of positions and was strategic in capturing and winning over $200M with such clients as the Intelligence Support Command (INSCOM), National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC), and United States Army Pacific (USARPAC). Frank received his Bachelors of Science in Technical Management from Wayland Baptist University in Plainview Texas and Master’s in Business Administration from Regis University in Denver. He served on Active duty in the US Army from 1988 to 1998, specializing in Intel and Intelligence Applications.
		Martin Payne – Vice President of Program Management Martin Payne joined SofTec as Director of Program Management, bringing 38 years of leadership, management, and program management experience to the company. His career includes 25 years of experience in the US Air Force, all within the communications and computer systems area with assignments including engineering, installation, operation and maintenance of systems ranging from airfield navigation and radar systems to LAN and WAN systems supporting DoD worldwide locations. His assignments include command of 3 AF IT organizations, serving as the Director of Integration Engineering for the Defense Information Systems Agency, and Director of Communications and Computer Systems (J6) for Joint Task Force Southwest Asia. Since retiring from the Air Force, he has provided contracted Information Technology services support to DoD clients including NORAD-US Northern Command, Air Force Space Command, and other Federal, State, and Local Government agencies. Most recently he was a Vice President and Senior Program Manager for Science Applications International Corporation. Martin received a Bachelor Degree in Physics for San Jose State University and a Masters in Business from Georgia College, as well as a Masters Certificate in Applied Program Management from Villanova University. He is a certified Program Management Professional and ITIL certified.
		Christopher Jensen – Vice President of Federal Business & Technology Christopher Jensen is an aggressive executive manager that brings 30+ years of leadership, operations, strategic planning, program management and Research & Development experience to the company. His career includes more than 22 years experience as a US Air Force combat operator and flight crew, including avionics, quality assurance, nuclear weapons, crypto and codes, research and development, missile warning/missile defense, early warning systems, programs and plans, command and control, fire control, communications, and B52H Strategic Bombers. Mr. Jensen followed his military service with research and development of hardware-in-the-loop test and training systems, space-based lasers, geospatial information systems, and Cyber and Cloud Computing enterprise architecture design and integration. He also provides rich experience in program management and business development for such organizations as Air Combat Command (ACC), Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC), Air Force Space Command (AFSPC), and many other government agencies. Christopher holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New York, Excelsior; a Master of Science degree in Management from Lesley University, Cambridge; multiple MBAs from Colorado Technical University in Colorado Springs, Colorado; and post graduate certificates and training in Program Management, Technology Management, and Executive Business Management, as well as Cyber Security and Information Assurance.
		Parimal Joshi – Controller Parimal Joshi has a career in Accounting & Finance with more than 20 plus years of professional experience, including the last 15 years in the United States. He also has over 9 years of experience in United States Government Accounting. Mr Joshi has worked for SofTec since 1999 and is a part of SofTec management team; he oversees the Accounting & Finance Department. He provides great experience in decision making process in all matters that impact the bottom line of the company. Mr. Joshi is a successful and self motivated individual, comes from a Multi-National Corporation based out in India with great diversity work environment culture. He offers a proven track record, starting with his career as an Accounting Clerk and progressing through his current position as Controller with SofTec. Mr Joshi holds a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from the University of Bombay – India.
		Laura Franklin, PHR – Human Resources Director Laura has more than 12 years of progressive Human Resources experience in a corporate environment. Laura’s responsibilities at SofTec include design and implementation of HR programs, policies and systems, health benefits and other company provided benefits. She is also responsible for employee relations, recruiting and staffing, coaching and counseling, legal compliance, performance management and improvement, process improvement; and the development of various employee communication materials. Laura is PHR certified and has a M.A. in Human Resources Management, Webster University; and a BS in Business Administration, Columbia College.
